Message from the Organization

In deed it's a honor privilege and special pleasure for me to have this opportunity to lunch a message to all concerned parties, governmental and non-governmental organizations, UN bodies development financing institutions and multilateral organization, to act in concrete of the marginalized Somali local communities, living in different Regions of the Country.

I would like to start, to pay my homage to the International Community, particularly those who interested and assisted repeatedly our people during the civil war, hardship and drought.

Its to be recalled the tremendous and generous support provided the international community to Somalia in terms of Humanitarian Aid and Emergency Relief Assistance to the effected and marginalized people of Somali in large, and the Southern regions of the country in particular, during the past 18 years.

The present time, the situation of South and central Regions is very hard and it's population are facing bad conditions and being the new millennium.

Basic community services, such as health, safe drinking water, and Educational opportunities is in a rudimentary stage, and food security situation is under a family standard.

However, Green Hope Organization would like to response the basic minimum needs of the marginalized community, living in the southern part of Somalia and intend development challenges and opportunities that entail.

•  Capacity building

•  Protection of the social services,

women & gender development.

•  Environmental Protection.

•  Governance

To face the above-mentioned challenges Green Hope has conducted organizational capacity assessment (OCA) that would help positioning for impact. Accordingly it prepared its strategic plan after conducting the necessary critical issues and environmental analysis.

Hence, we seeks the support of all organizations and individuals living in country and abroad in general, for our endeavors to contribute the socio-economic development process, we request / appeal to the relevant Donor Agencies to provide us full support in terms of financial resources for the implementation of the Community Basic Needs (CBN) program, scheduled to implement the year 2009-2010 and co-operate/harmonize their efforts in this regard.

Thanking in advance for your prompt assistance

Best regards,
